Since last few years BSSK has been regularly conducting Parent Preparation Workshops for the prospective adoptive families. Families have found them to be very meaningful. There has been an earnest and strong request for BSSK to conduct even post adoption workshops. Thus, BSSK is planning to offer sessions related to aspects on parenting of children belonging to different developmental age groups. The workshop will be open to all adoptive parents. Through workshop we can share each other’s experience, views and opinions. The workshop will be designed to help parents to understand and be ready to face some of the challenges of parenting. Discussions will be held on handling temper tantrum, knowing capacities of your child, school adjustments etc. Presently a half-day workshop has been planned for two groups. Please see the details that are mentioned below. The eligible families are requested to contact BSSK by February 6, 2010 for confirmation to attend the workshop.
The sessions have been organized as below:
Dates - (1) February 20, 2010 for the parents whose children are born in the year 2004 to 2007.
(2) February 27, 2010 for the parents whose children are born in the year 1998 to 2002.
