Adopting a child is a big and important decision in one’s life. We do believe that ‘Parenting’ is an important responsibility. To assist prospective adoptive families in this process of preparation for parenting and adoption, BSSK organizes a one day workshop.
This workshop is held regularly. Please refer to Upcoming Events for the workshop schedule.

The general outline for the workshop is as follows.
9.30 am to 9.45 am: Registration
9.45 am to 9.55 am: Welcome

9.55 am to 10.15 am: Introduction Session
10.15 am to 10.30 am:
a) Concept of the adoption triad
b) Core issues faced by all members of triad
c) Positive adoption language
Session II

10.30 am to 12.45 pm:
a) Nature V/s Nurture (The genetic and environmental factors)
b) Parenting aspects from adoption until the child goes to pre school
12.45 pm to 1.30pm: Lunch
Session III

1.30 pm to 3.00 pm: Sharing the fact of adoption.
Prerna Shah to share her experiences on the same as an adoptive parent.
Session IV

3.00 pm to 4.00 pm: Medical Aspects
